Department of Diploma in Pharmacy (Ayurvedic)

The Diploma in Pharmacy (Ayurvedic) at Rattan College of pharmacy is a 4-semester regular program with two year’s academic duration. The college is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala. The course has to be planned in such a manner that personnel completing it should be capable of meeting different requirements of both manufacturing and consuming sector for Ayurvedic drugs. For manufacturing sector he should be in a position to take care of drug selection, standardization, quality control and manufacturing requirements. For consuming sector he should be a qualified person for drug dispensing and related activities. After completing the course of diploma the student work as Pharmacist at Govt. Ayurved Dispensaries & Hospitals, Can open own retail shop of Ayurved medicines., open up drug manufacturing company after 1 year experience, Works as Sales Executive in Ayurved. Pharmaceutical companies and Teaching in Ayurvedic Institutes.
