Department of Master of Education (M.Ed)

Master of Education at Rattan Professional College is an undergraduate degree which prepares students as a teacher to work in a school. It is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala and is approved by govt. of Punjab. The course is offered to those students who make their career in teaching. It is a professional degree which is mandatory for teaching a secondary and higher secondary classes.Master of Education (M.Ed) program provides students with advanced knowledge of educational foundations, learning theory, multiculturism, inclusion and critical issues in education. The program can be a second step for those already teaching, or a first step into education for those that have been in a related field. This program deals with the study of methodology of educational research and social and psychological foundations of the discipline.The department has a well-qualified faculty who train the student with their teaching skills to achieve a professional standard of work, creative skills, moral and spiritual values. The focus of this course is to promote the use of teaching aids and learning in this era and also understanding the school culture. To provide the quality education to students so that they can get their job immediately and prove themselves in the field of teaching.

Eligibility:-

* Candidates seeking admission in M.Ed Program should have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent grades in B.Ed., B.A-B.Ed., B.Sc-B.Ed, B.El.Ed, D.El.Ed (with an undergraduate degree) for General candidates; and at least 45% marks or equivalent grades for SC/ST/BC candidates.
